What do the FOTRIC algorithm ‘IREdge’ and ‘TWB’ do?

IREdge visually strengthens the object's contour contrast against its environment. TWB rearranges color palette distribution within the temperature range to make the image appear lively. For more detailed explanation, please refer to the article here (click HERE).

Can I remote control my FOTRIC handheld camera?

Yes, there are two ways of doing so. One is connecting the camera with the Android EasyIR mobile app. The other is to control the camera with our IRexplorer system, which is available across all platforms.

What advantages does NaviTiR cameras have over ordinary cameras?

The NaviTiR system is designed to simplify repetitive inspection process. It drastically increases the efficiency for repeated inspection. With powerful features such as object identification, automatic diagnosis and historical trend analysis, the cameras facilitate inspector’s ability to deal with complicated inspection work exceptionally well.

Is it possible to transfer photos directly from Fotric 340 camera to my smart phone, particularly iPhone and view them on the phone?

Yes, with the FOTRIC IRExplorer system, users can access and control their thermal imagers with their phone. For detailed instructions, please refer to Youtube Videos (click Video 1 and Video 2).

How to activate the “Temperature difference” or “T-rise” feature?

Go to the main menu, select the ‘ROI’ icon, then select the ‘ΔT’ option. At the interface, users can conduct temperature difference between ROIs or against a specific temperature.

How do I take a high-quality digital image of my asset?

There are two ways of doing this. The user can either go to main menu-> Image Mode and select ‘Digital Camera’ to take high-definition digital images, or he could go to main menu -> Settings -> Storage&Save options and toggle “Save digital image as separate”. To ensure image quality, the user should let the digital camera properly focus before taking the shot.

What is the 'click' sound I occasionally hear from the camera?

The camera is conducting a non-uniformity calibration (NUC). The process is eliminating the thermal signal emitted by the camera itself. The pheonomenon occurs more frequently right after the camera is turned on and will become much less frequent after a few minutes.

How to change the camera's temperature unit from Celsius to Fahrenheit?

From the main menu->Settings->Device Set->Language&Date&Region->Temperature Unit

How to set partial emissivity for my ROI?

Manually select the ROI, press home button to summon the menu, click on the second icon from the right (ε). Then the user can adjust the partial emissivity for this particular ROI.

How to record radiometric video?

From the main menu->Settings->Capture Mode->Recording; If the video format is 'MP4' instead of 'IRS', go back to Settings->Storage & Save Options -> Video Format, and select IRS.

How to update my camera software version?

Download the respective software update package under 'www.fotric.com/support'. Then change the file name to the respective model name (falcon, moth, jaguar) and put them in the device's SD card-"Update" folder (if does not exist, create one).
Go to the device, Settings->Device set->About->System Update.

How do I trigger temperature alarm?

There are two sets of temperature alarms on our cameras. One is sound alarm and the other is color alarm.The sound alarm is built upon the ROIs. 
To set up the sound alarm, select a ROI, press the home button to summon the menu. Select the second icon from the left 'Alarm'. Then set up the mode and threshold.
To set up the color alarm, go to palette, select "Above alarm temperature","Below alarm temperature" or "Interval alarm temperature".

Where can I find my serial number and software version?

From main menu, go to Settings->Device Set->About, and you may browse your device's information here.

What are the computer requirements to use FOTRIC AnalyzIR, IRexplorer, NavitIR and SDK?

Windows 7 or higher.

How do I know which lenses I am using in FOTRIC 340? Because some of the lenses look similar?

You could check the current lens by going to main menu->Settings->Device Set->About, scroll down and you can see the current lens information is specifed at a row named 'Lens'
Additionally, different lenses come with different focal distances, which are all marked on the front of the lens, please refer to this document for detailed information (click HERE).
